3 Important PGWP Deadlines for International Students in Canada

  1. PGWP Submission Deadline: 180 Days
No matter if you are in Canada or outside Canada, you must submit your post-graduation work permit (PGWP) within 180 days of completing your program of study, which usually corresponds to the issue date of the Completion Letter from your institution.
  2. Study Permit Expiry: 90 Days
Be aware that your study permit becomes invalid 90 days after you complete your program of study. Take prompt action to maintain your legal status.
  3. Optimal PGWP Application Timing: 90 Days
We strongly recommend submitting your PGWP application within 90 days of the issue date of the Completion Letter from your school. Otherwise, you may also need to apply to restore your student status.

Stay informed and ensure a smooth transition from a study permit to a post-graduated work permit by adhering to these crucial timelines. For personalized guidance, you are welcome to ask for a free consultation with our EGI experts.
