International Students’ Admission Offers Revoked in Ontario – Navigating Challenges Together

Around 500 international students face uncertainty after their offers to study at Pures College of Technology in Ontario were suddenly taken back just before classes began. Pures College says Northern College, its partner, made the decision, but Northern College blames unexpected visa approvals for the problem.

Hundreds of international students are currently grappling with unexpected changes after acceptance letters from Northern College were suddenly revoked. This situation has left many students in a state of uncertainty. Some students had already taken significant steps to pursue their dreams – paying fees, securing accommodation, and booking a flight – only to have their plans upended. Instances like these are not isolated incidents but shed light on more significant issues. It is sad to see students running into difficulties with education and immigration. It emphasizes that international students need better support systems.

International student agents should play a crucial role in standing by students through thick and thin, providing unwavering support to help them overcome obstacles, helping them to find alternative solutions and securing their academic future.
